Privacy Policy
ScaleBound SMP ("we", "us", "our") is a community Minecraft server. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
When you play on ScaleBound SMP we record: your Minecraft username, UUID, playtime, distance walked, deaths, jumps, mob kills, player kills, damage dealt/taken, and advancement count. This data is synced by a server-side plugin and displayed on the Player History page.
ScaleBound SMP operates a Discord server. Discord's own privacy policy governs data collected through their platform. Within our server, moderators may log usernames and messages for moderation purposes. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties.
If you donate via Stripe, Stripe handles your payment details — we never see or store your card number. After checkout you are asked to provide your Minecraft username so we can grant your donor perks; we store this username, your donation amount, and a timestamp. If you donate via Ko-fi, Ko-fi's own privacy policy governs your payment data; we receive only your display name and donation amount via webhook.
Our hosting infrastructure may automatically log request IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. These are not linked to player identities and are not retained beyond standard operational retention periods.
In-game chat messages bridged to the website are stored temporarily (up to the last 100 messages) and are visible to all website visitors. Messages are purged on a rolling basis.
2. How We Use Your Data

- ✓ Enable server moderation and anti-cheat logging
- ✓ Run Discord server moderation actions
- ✓ Improve server performance and stability
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Data Retention
Gameplay stats are retained indefinitely to maintain accurate leaderboards. Chat messages are retained for up to 24 hours on a rolling basis. Discord bot logs are retained for up to 90 days for moderation purposes. Donation records are retained for legal and financial record-keeping.
4. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by ScaleBound SMP. This includes:
- ✓ Your gameplay statistics from the Player History database
- ✓ Your Discord data collected by our bot
- ✓ Your entry in the donor feed (note: financial records may be kept for legal compliance)
To request deletion, open a ticket in our Discord server or contact an admin directly. We will process deletion requests within 14 days.
5. Third-Party Services
ScaleBound SMP uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Stripe — payment processing for donations
- Ko-fi — alternative donation platform
- Discord — community platform
- Minotar — Minecraft player skin rendering
- Tebex — in-game rank store
6. Age Policy
ScaleBound SMP is a 16+ community. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has provided us with personal information, contact us for immediate removal.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the server or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
